Client: Provincie Gelderland
Project : Railterminal Gelderland
Purpose: Marketing and informational.
The challenge: 3D visualization of a proposed inland rail terminal in its environment and significant landmarks, in order to help Provincie Gelderland inform local residents of proposed developments. Compare views from various angles of the proposed tree screening 5m planting height and 20m full-grown height. Huge location and environment including a long access road parallel to the A15 in Gelderland. The 3D modeling of the rail-terminal was done from the 2D CAD files from the designers. Modeling local landmarks including villages, a newly developed business park, extensive roadside tree screening, and adapted road junctions were to be shown. It was fun making the close-up 3D rendering from a couple of key locations to show the effect of 5m planting height and 20m full-grown height visual screening. The final output also included a high-level fly-over 3D animation clip where we circle the 10km square location following the service road to the terminal.
